I felt that Louise fully understood our needs as a family and because she made us feel heard, we felt completely at ease with her guidance.

My Mission
Helping tired teachers become better - rested parents.
You spend your days looking after everyone else’s children.
You plan, teach, organise, support, listen, reassure and problem solve from morning until home time. Then you go home and start all over again as a parent.
When your child isn’t sleeping well, those long school days can feel even longer.
The exhaustion can feel relentless.
I want to reassure parents that there is hope. I know that sounds like such a cliche but I truly know how difficult life is when you’re a teacher and you’re severely sleep deprived.
This is why Snug as a Bug Sleep Consultancy provides gentle, realistic and practical sleep support with busy teachers and education professionals in mind.
Because when your little ones sleep better, you can too!
Calmer bedtimes. Better nights. Brighter school days.
Not a teacher? You’re still very welcome here.
While Snug as a Bug Sleep Consultancy has a special focus on supporting teachers and education professionals, my sleep consultancy is open to all parents and families.
Whatever your job, if your bedtime has become a battle, nights are broken or you simply need some guidance with your child’s sleep, I’d love to support you.
The advice you receive will always be tailored towards your child, your family and your lifestyle.
Why Snug as a Bug is different
Sleep support that fits around real life.
You don’t need another person telling you what you should be doing.
You need to know why your child may be struggling with sleep and what you can realistically do to help.
For teachers, that means considering the realities of your working week - early mornings, nursery drop offs, after school meetings, parents’ evenings, marking, Sunday night preparation (and anxiety) and the fact that you can’t simply ease your way into the next morning.
For other families, we’ll look at the demands and routines that shape your days.
There is no perfect routine and no one-size-fits-all sleep solution.
There is simply a plan that works for your family.
About Me
A teacher, sleep consultant and someone who understands busy family life.
Then there’s nothing left for your own and you’ll do anything for a quick fix. A quick bath. A quick feed. A quick bedtime. An unplanned co sleep. All because your job is forever on your mind. You’re willing your child to get to sleep because you’re thinking about the bag of marking you’ve got downstairs, or the reports you still haven’t written and the lessons you still have to plan. What about the class assembly that is far from being ready or the email that you still need to reply to and the list goes on and on. So yes I 100% understand how you are feeling.
This understanding is at the very heart of Snug as a Bug Sleep Consultancy.
Years of sleep deprivation with my eldest child, alongside serious attachment issues, were the motivation behind me becoming a Sleep Consultant.
I understand exactly what it’s like when your child doesn’t sleep and you have a very small support network. It changes your whole experience as a parent. The constant ‘what ifs?’.The endless questions. The never ending research. The ‘over helpful’ advice from others. The overriding guilt that you’re doing something wrong.
It’s overwhelming and seems impossible to navigate.
That’s where I come in.
I offer realistic sleep support that can fit around school runs, childcare, teaching hours, after school commitments and everything else that comes with busy family lives.
Although supporting teachers is a particular passion of mine, you absolutely DON’T need to work in education to work with me. I welcome ALL families looking for practical and personalised sleep support.

I’ve been a Primary School Teacher now for the last 18 years, which means that communicating with parents and children comes very natural to me. Having worked in education means I understand just how exhausting teaching can be - even after a good night’s sleep.
There are early starts, full-on days, meetings, planning, marking and the emotional load that comes with supporting children. When you’re also dealing with your own bedtime battles or repeated night wakings at home, it can leave you running on empty.
So hard isn’t it trying to prioritise everyone else’s children over your own? The simple fact is other people’s children get the best of you. Your patience. Your tolerance. Your enthusiasm. Your motivation. Your discipline.
How I can help you
I was the Mum that never wanted to hear her baby cry, especially for a prolonged amount of time, so if you’re this parent - we’re probably speaking the same language.
What methods do I use?
I use gentle yet effective sleep methods that fit right in with your family’s needs. Minimal disruption is what I aim for where possible and making small tweaks to your routines is sometimes all that is needed.
Surely I can do this myself?
Well I’m sure after scrolling for endless answers, you’ve already tried this. I’m guessing that’s why you’re here? Nothing’s working right? It’s no surprise you’re feeling like this when there’s so much information out there. It all feels too overwhelming and when you're exhausted and feel that you’re barely SURVIVING - almost impossible.
That’s where I come in. My ultimate aim is finding the right approach that is right for you and your little one that will fit right in with your family life. I’ll be right there at the end of a WhatsApp message or voice note to support you and to reassure you that you’re making these changes for the right reasons and .

FAQ’s
-
No. Whilst I don’t promote controlled crying as a sleep method, I do want parents to know that there may be some form of crying along the way. This however, is a perfectly normal reaction to any type of change. You will of course always be encouraged to comfort your baby if they ever become distressed.
-
To be honest, not usually but it all depends on your ultimate goals and the routines you already have in place.
-
Absolutely not. Whilst Snug as a Bug Sleep Consultancy was created with teachers in mind, I am happy and open to working with any parent that needs support with their little one’s sleep.
-
Absolutely. Whatever your aim is - whether that’s to make changes to your child’s sleep whilst still wanting to co-sleep or making that transition of moving your little one to their own sleep space - I can tailor my plans accordingly.
-
I work with newborn babies right up until 5 years of age.
-
Every child responds differently to change so I don’t ever like giving an exact time frame. However, on average most families start to see a difference after 4-5 days.
